    Software Introduction:
    With GPSMap. you can use your own maps to display your positio n, using a GPS receiver.Funct Bluetooth-capable ions : - displays location on a map or displays latitud e/longitude; - automatically selects map in automatic mode; - add, remove maps; - calibrate maps manually or importing from Father Explorer; - phone standby mode can be switched off; - GPS device identifier may be stored (no need to set it up); - connection to the GPS device is restored automática atically.Requirements for maps : - in GIF or JPG format; - do not use too large maps, eg. above 1000x1000 pixel. because the loading of the images will be slowed down, use several maps if large are should be covered; - North should be on the upward map.How to instal l a map : - copy the map to the phone (eg. with PcSuite); - start GPSMap, select Options/Maps. select Options/Add map.- select one or more fil es or directories (for directiories. all applicable files in the directories will be added to the list) using the joy, then press lounges - the map will be listed, with a red X mark, which means that is not calibrated yet, and it may not be used until it is calibrated.How to calibrate a map:For calibrating a map. you have to go to at least two different places on the map by foot, by car, by bus, etc. , with the GPS device and your phone. Both times, you have to locate your position on the map by sel ecting Options/View and calib. at the list of th e maps. In this view, you can use the joystick to move the map in large s teps. or press the button or ABC (pen) with the joystic k to move smoothly. Press' 'I am here' 'to record your positon (a red dot will show it on the map). A fter you have set at least two places, the red X mark at the list of the maps will be a gree n sign.You can calibrate a map on your PC with Father Explorer, if you know the coordinates of at least two point 's on the map.How to calibrate a map on a PC using Oz iExplorerDownload OziExplorer (hxxp : //www.oziexplorer.com) and start the FLOATING version (if you do not have a f ull version, of course). Select "File/Load and calibrate ma p image ", and add at least two points : select Point 1 on the tab on the right. select the position on the image, then enter the coordinates of that point. Go to Opt ions/Setup. Diplay and set to the name of the map, or set it to '' Automatic ''. In automatic mode, always the map available for the current positi on will be displayed.Valid/invalid GPS positi onThe information received from the GPS device may be valid or not (depending on the number of sa tellites). In text mode, valid information is displayed in blue, invalid in red. When displaying a map, a blinking red dot will mean that the informatio n is not valid. or the GPS receiver is not connected.SettingsD isplay : text, automatic or a selected map (only calibrated ma ps are listed). In text mode, latitude, longitude, speed, course, altitude is listed. In automatic mode, always the map available for the current positi on will be displayed. otherwise it shows that there is' 'not any availa ble map. When a map is selected, positions outside the maps will be shown simply using a blank screen with the red dot in the 85-88 r.Always on : prevent the phone from going into standby mode ( to switch off the screen).
