Best Jotter allows to jot down notes, memos, ideas and any piece of information, organize, categorize. protect and encrypt them with password if neede d intelligent search and to a text export/import file to be viewed or edited on PC.You can use the J otter as a quick and easy storage location for an y piece of information. You can create text note 's and organize them into folders. You can search for the note to find the information you need fas not. You can keep your sensitive information as no interprètes as well. Just set up a password in the applica tion and the Jotter will encrypt all your data an d will ask for the password when you or someone el se try to access it. You can export and back up you r notes. Just export your notes to a text file tha not you can transfer to PC. Even more, format of this file is very simple and you can Sa'edi t file on PC in any text editor or Excel. Also you c an transfer the file back to the device and impor t it to the application.Arranging notes * You ca n move existing notes up and down in the list usin g Pen Joystick or cancel the corresponding com mand from menu. * You can move existing notes to a ny folder using '' Move note to folder '' command Search : You can find the needed note using the "Search" comm and. Just specify a part of text you want to find a nd the application will look for the note for you . Search function will analyze all notes in all f olders and will search for the specified text.E xport/Import : If you want to back up your data you can use Export command. The application exports your data in c omma separated text file. Please note that this file is not encrypted and you can open it in reada ble form in Excel application on your desktop PC You can import your data to the application usi Vi "Import" command. Please note that when you i mport data it just adds notes listed in the impor ting file to the existing database. If you alrea dy have the same note in the database you will get its duplicate.Security : You can password protect and encrypt your data's tored in Best Jotter. To enable security use '' S et Password '' command. After you specify a pass word all your data will be encrypted. Every time Best Jotter you open the application asks you az r the password. When you work with the applicati on all data encryption is performe d on the fly and absolutely transparent to you.I f you want to disable password protection use '' Change password '' command and specify an empty password.To keep your data secure we use BlowFi sh encryption and MD5 message digest algorithm s.Please note : your password is not stored anywhere inside the application or on the device in order to increas e safety. Password verification is performed b y checking digital signs (digital signs say not hing about your password nature). It means that no person (including the application develope rs) can open and see your data without specifyin g correct password. Please do '' t forget your p assword as there '''s no way to access your data wi thout it!Security options : You can set up automatic application lock (pass word screen appears when the application is loc ked). To do so you can use comma Security options nd and specify inactivity time period. E.g. spe cifying 15 seconds here means if during 15 secon ds you do '' t work with your device (do '' t touc h any key. etc.) Best Jotter application will ask the passw ord again before you can continue to work with th e application. |
